Jaguar introduced the XK model, a car that offers a sporty drive, but without compromising the luxury while its incredible performance and handling will allow it to be bought by customers who previously would only have considered outright cars which compromised luxury and space in favor of more aggressive handling characteristics.
On the inside, the model features contemporary luxury materials, like fine leather and metallic finish. The new XK is available in both two-door Coupe and Convertible forms like the model it replaces. It is also able to accelerate faster, using less fuel and producing low emissions, but in the same time offering high levels of safety and improving handling.
Safety is something the carmaker offered a lot of attention. It used a lot of aluminum, which absorbs significantly more energy/kg of material weight than steel when it is deformed. This also means lower-speed accident repairs costs are kept to a minimum.

The model will be available on different markets at different moments, but deliveries will start on 2008, in the spring.
