Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works
Mini introduced the John Cooper Works Tuning kit for the MINI Cooper S at the 2007 International Automobile Salon in Geneva. This kit offers more power to the 1.6-liter engine and so it is now able to produce 192 BHP and 250 Nm of torque and can even go up to 270 Nm.
The tuning kit offers components whose development is derived directly from expertise gained from motor racing. It includes a sport exhaust system, a sport air filter and electronic engine management system optimized for greater power efficiency. The driving becomes more fun as well.
The look was also modified using the John Cooper Works elements. In the end you should know that the carmaker uses a lot of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic components for a visual impact. The Original MINI accessory program offers fans the possibility to increase the comfort and functionality of their vehicle.

The new MINI Clubman was revealed and apparently it will go on sale in Europe in November in three model configurations: the MINI Copper Clubman, the MINI Cooper D Clubman and the MINI Cooper S Clubman. The MINI Cooper Clubman and the MINI Cooper S Clubman will be available for the US market as well, but only from the beginning of next year. The design is reminiscent of its classic predecessors with features of the classic models accomplishing modern functions.
The model will be powered by a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder normally-aspirated turbocharged engine that will offer maximum efficiency and performance. The power is being sent to the wheels through a manual transmission. The engine is capable of delivering 175 horsepower and 177 lb. ft. torque, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 139 mph.

Mini has created the new MINI John Cooper Works CHALLENGE for the Mini Cooper S built for the track use. The main characteristics include a higher top speed, increased torque, faster acceleration and optimized traction.
Body revisions than have as base the John Cooper Works Aerodynamic Kit, currently available from all MINI dealers, are key features of the CHALLENGE set-up of the car. The carmaker offers new adjustable rear spoiler, rear diffuser and performance front spoiler. The braking system is now even better. The car can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.1 seconds. Safety was not left behind and so the car features RECARO bucket seats combined with a six-point safety belt. The new model will not be allowed to run on the public road so racing enthusiasts will be the only ones enjoying it.
