Peugeot 308 RC Z
Peugeot revealed a new compact hatchback designed for the medium car segment and features different kind of elements that allows us to spot it from a distance. Its name is the 308 RC Z.
The carmaker used a lot of aluminum elements to make the car as light as possible, but also a big number of carbon fiber body parts. The front suspension makes the car easy to drive. Peugeot will reveal the 308 Hybrid HDi at the Frankfurt Auto Show. With its low fuel consumption, the 308 Hybrid HDi is the eagerly anticipated star of the environmental section at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The model is powered by a 1.6 HDi DPFS diesel 110 BHP engine that was coupled to a 22 BHP electric motor being able to deliver 132 BHP. The power is being sent to the wheels through a 6-speed electronically controlled manual gearbox.
The diesel engine only operates when required and is controlled by a stop and start system.

Peugeot presented the SW version a few months later after the launch of the 308 hatchback.
The 308 SW was revealed as a concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. The model benefits from many of the features of the original SW concept which guaranteed the success of its predecessor but, develops them even further.
The exterior design succeeds in combining a particularly expressive and dynamic design at the front, which shares with the 308 hatchback, with an original design at the rear.
The model is powered by VTi and THP engines which have been developed as part of the collaboration between PSA Peugeot Citroen.
