Kia revealed its new Forte compact sedan on Thursday and the model will go on sale next week. What you should know is that it is powered by a 1.6-liter engine gasoline or diesel and it is the newest model after another 1.6-liter version of Cerato was released in November, 2003. The carmaker is thinking of adding another 2.0-liter engine later. Until then, this one produces 124 horsepower. The price for the Kia Forte is somewhere between 11.9 million WON ($ 11.300) and 19.6 million WON depending on the accessories. The target sales for this year are 30.000 units. Annual sales for the model will rise to 250.000 annually from 2012. To boost sales, the carmaker revamped its lineup by redesigning its Morning, mid-sized sedan Lotze and the new Mohave sport-utility vehicle. The sales target was reached this month with 364.000 units sold for the year.
