By reducing to a minimum whilst packaging of the weight, the new Caterham Superlight was rendered the best possible dynamic package. This was taken from the Caterham Roadsport and enriched with very many options in order to enhance performance.
It contains many track options though being suppilied fully road legal. The race buckets seats, eind deflector in lieu of windscreen, the interior with dashbord made of fibre carbon are fitted as standard.
The standard equipment of the new caterham Superlight includes competition specification engine, carbon dashboard, 6 speed gearbox, Ventilated front discs with four pot calipers, de Dion competition derived rear suspension, adjustable rear anti-roll bar and wide track and bespoke road tyres. The car weights only 485 kgs. It is 65 kgs lighter than the Roadsport model. There is also a list of options to be added in case one wished to personalize the car like full weather equipment. It is available in three different guises.

The new Caterham Superlight was rendered the best possible dynamic package. It contains a lot of track options through being supplied fully road legal. The standard equipment includes competition specification engine, carbon dashboard, a 6-speed transmission and a lot more. It is available in three different guises. The R300, with a 1.8-liter engine capable of developing 165 BHP, the R400 with a 1.8-liter capable of developing 200 BHP and last, but not least, the R500 also powered by a 1.8-liter, but capable of developing 230 BHP. This last one runs on 13-inch Magnesium wheels with Avon CR500 tires.
