Abt Golf GTI

At the Essen Motor Show, ABT Sportsline presented the new generation GTI models, in November. The specialists offered more power, greater aggressiveness and they even look sportier. The new body kit includes a carbon fiber front lip, side skirts, rear skirts and a rear muffler with four chrome and pipes. Under the hood features a 2.0-liter FSI engine that is able to deliver 230 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. Also, the models feature a sport brake system offered by the tuning company. The suspension kit offers the possibility to modify the height as it was made for optimal road holding. The tuner has developed swing doors for its version of the GTI. The model runs on 8.5 x 19-inch ABT sport SP1 wheels and Dunlop tires, improving the contact between technology and asphalt.

For the first time in November 2004 at the Essen Motor ,Abt Sportsline was presented
the new generation GTI models .
Abt Sportsline gave the GTI additional power, greater aggressiveness, even more sportiness.

The Abt GTI has a complete different body kit including a carbon fiber front spoiler lip, side skirts, rear skirt and a rear muffler with four chrome end pipes

Under the carbon fiber hood, you can see the influence of the engineers and designers from Kempten : the power of the 2.0T FSI power unit increases to 230 hp (147 to 170 kW) with 310 nm (338 ft lbs) of torque. The Abt Golf GTI is equipped with an Abt sport brake system.

The Abt sport suspension kit, is not only adjustable in height, but also in rebound and pressure too and was made for optimal road holding. Abt sport SP1 wheels in measuring 8.5 x 19 inched with corresponding Dunlop tires ensure improved contact between technology and asphalt.

Also at Essen Abt Sportsline has developed swing doors for its version of the GTI much like the cars they prepare racing. The team from Kempten once again presented itself as one of the most successful German teams in the current season: for the first time the Bavarians clinched the team title in the DTM in 2004.
