Citroen C4 Picasso

The 2006 Citroen C4 Picasso is going to have its world premiere at the 2006 Paris Motor Show, being scheduled to hit the showrooms beginning with October 2006. The C4 picasso apeears to be the first "visiospace" due to its vast modular cabin and extensive glass area. It provides a highly comfortable and enjoyable ride with its distinctive styling, original features as well as an improved driveability. The engineers focused on creating all vehicle functions in such a way that it would ensure a pleasant, easy and relaxed journey. The passenger compartment has received a perceived quality, while the interior materials show refinement with exceptionally fine door panels and a smooth paintwork. The screen in the centre of the dashboard integrates driving and comfort information, thus limiting the number of display areas. It also features a fixed-centred controls steering wheel, adjustable for height and reach. At launch, the eye-catching car model will be available in four versions, beginning with the two petrol ones, embodied by the 2.0i 16V developing 127 bhp and 143 bhp DIN and the 1.8i 16V, followed by the two diesel units which feature a particulate filter as standard. Depending on the market, the C4 Picasso can also be fitted with an additional heating system, to cope with the cold. The wide choice of transmissions strongly depends on the market, offering to the enthusiast buyers the manual, automatic or the new 6-speed electronic gearbox system. The attractive features of the C4 Picasso make it a natural extension to Citroen's MPV range. The cleanly drawn body lines enhance the harmonious vehicle volumes, also conveying an impression of power, while the strong personality of the C4 Picasso is determined by the dynamic, fluid styling together with the extensive use of glass. The large quarter-lights and the wide-angle panoramic windscreen catch the eyes on the road and highlight the innovative character of the C4 Picasso 'visiospace'. Constituting a unique visual signature through their shape, and the sizing of their lines of light, the rear lights represent one of the many distinctive characteristics of the C4 Picasso. The exceptionally large glass area provides an efficient visibility which, in turn, brings a significant contribution to safety, ensuring the best side and rear three-quarter vision in its segment.
