The new version of the SEAT Toledo is a lot like the sporty vehicles equipped with a petrol engine. For example, it can reach 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds, 8.9 seconds to accelerate from 80 to 120 km/h in the fifth gear and 11.4 seconds in the sixth gear. It can reach a top speed of 211 km/h. The fuel consumption indicates 8.0 l in the urban cycle, 5.2 l on the extra urban cycle and 6.2 l combined. The model features a 2.0-liter TDI engine that is able to deliver 170 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque at 1800 rpm. The power is being sent to the wheels through a six-speed manual transmission with specific gear progression. When it comes to safety measures you should know it is equipped with ABS, TCS, ESP, EBA emergency braking aid, driver and passenger airbag and many others. The price of the new SEAT is EUR 26.668.
SEAT Toledo 2.0 TDI review:
The new version 170 hp 2.0 TDI has enriched the range of SEAT Toledo
The acceleration and the in-gear acceleration on this new Toledo is similar to the one on the sporty vehicles equipped with a petrol engine. It needs only 8.6 sec to reach 100 km/h from stillstand, 8.9 sec to accelerate from 80 to 120 km/h in fifth and 11.4 seconds in sixth gear, being able to reach a top speed of 211 km/h. The engine shows its best quality and efficiency when it comes to consumption: 8.0 litres in the urban cycle, 5.2 litres on the extra urban cycle and 6.2 litres combined.
The 103 kW (140 hp) 2.0 TDI version has inspired the development of the new version. Featuring a power output of 125 kW (170 hp), maximum torque of 350 Nm at 1800 rpm, the new model is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox with specific gear progression. The engine’s turbocompressor geometry has been improved and high-pressure injection has been added to the direct diesel injection system with the PPD Piezo-Pumpe-Düse piezo-electric injection system. It fully complies with Euro IV emission regulations, and is also equipped with the maintenance-free DPF diesel particulate filter system.
What is curious abou this new model is the fact that it features larger, specific brakes without having brought any change to the chassis. Both available versions, Stylance and Sport-up, include stiffer suspensions to match the engine’s greater power and performance output.
Paying special attention to functionality, it is the only saloon, besides extensive equipment, that can boast having a modular interior. It features a capacity that goes from 500 to 601 litres. The rear sets that slide forward 14 cm make it the largest boot in its category.
As for the connection to the road, the Toledo is equipped with standard features such as 16” light alloy seven-spoke wheels, added with 225/45 tyres on 17” wheels. The steering wheel is covered with leather. The lever knob, on-board computer, cruise control, volumetric alarm, coming and leaving home function, bi-xenon headlamps, rain sensor, automatic lights-on sensor, automatic anti-dazzle rear-view mirror, parking sensor, MP3 CD player with steering-wheel mounted controls and dual-zone climatiser are the characteristics that make this model so special.
It includes ABS, TCS, switchable ESP, EBA emergency braking aid, driver and switchable passenger airbag, side and curtain airbags, electro-mechanical power steering with DSR dynamic steering response, multi-link rear axel and Isofix anchoring points for child seats in the rear and Bluetooth system. All the passive safety features on the SEAT Toledo have warranted the highest EuroNcap rating for passenger safety – five stars.
Priced from 26,668 euros, it is already available in the SEAT commercial network.
