Chinese carmaker Brilliance introduced its BC3 coupe in the home market. Shown at the beginning of this year at Geneva Auto Show, the BC3 runs with a 170 horsepower 1.8L turbocharged engine with either a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual. Brilliance says the BC3`s powertrain yields a 0-60 time in 9.7 seconds and a maximum speed of 130 mph. The BC3 will begin at $15,000 up to $21,400.
The big news is that Brilliance is planning to sell the auto in 2008 in Europe and after that may bring the vehicle to the United States market. Brilliance has passed the Euro NCAP accident testing earlier current year — though with the BS6 sedan model— and has yet to begin the tests for NHTSA.
