The New Fiat Grande Punto S 2000 will be presented for the first time on the exhibition that takes place in Geneva. An innovation for Fiat Group is this stable, racing car. This racing view on cars has been taken into consideration from the Fiat Racing Department this year in the Italian Rally Championship, having as driver Giandomenico Basso and his navigator Mitia Dotta. Last year’s winner, Davide Gatti competes this year too, driving an official Fiat Grande Punto R3D, diesel engine. The new Fiat Punto is going to compete in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge with Andrea Navarra and his navigator Guido D’Amore as drivers.The team will be managed in the racing competition by Claudio Berro.

Having strong characteristics (2000cc aspirated engine-270hp, 4 WD) the new version of Fiat, Grande Punto Abarth S2000, is the “son” of the last year’ winning car driven by Paolo and Ana Andreucci, who won 7 of 11 comtitions in this program. But it Shouldn’t be ignored their mates’(Andrea Navarra and Guido D’Amore) success –taking the third place.The others-Giandomenico Basso and Mitia Dotta- were the winners of the European Title and International Rally Challenge.
