From September onwards, Japanese enthusiasts will be able to order what is perhaps the ultimate Civic Type-R yet. The engineers at Mugen gave the Type-R a new bodykit, upgraded brakes, a retuned suspension, new wheels and tires, and Recaro sport bucket seats. Thus equipped, the car goes by the name Honda Civic Mugen RR and is 22 lbs lighter and has 15 more horsepower under the hood.
The Civic Mugen RR, said to be based on the Honda S-GT race car, is available only in the "Milan Red" color and limited to 300 copies.
