The 2007 Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TDI R line for the Golf, Touran, Passat and Touareg, will have its world premiere in Germany. The type of engine together with the exterior and interior equipment allow a sporty customization. The Golf Trendline is one of the three R line options for the Golf and consists of 17-inch alloy wheels with wide tires, an indentifying R logo on the outside of the car, door trims, R-style pedals and a sport leather steering wheel. The "Plus" R line package boasts top sport seats in front and "Monte Carlo" fabric with R embossed headrests. Finally, the "Exterior" R line package can be ordered separately from the other two mentioned above and it adds a more synamic look with its 17-inch alloy wheels, air inlets in slatted look, a protective radiator grill in dual fin design, a roof edge spoiler, a black diffusor and R logos on the sides of the front fenders and interior door trim.
18-inch alloy wheels including sport chassis are available as optional for all Golf R line packages.
R line versions for other Volkswagen models are also entirely conceivable.
