Autodelta 159 J4 2.2 C

The Autodelta 159 J4 2.2 C will turn into the 3rd member of the exclusive bespoke J-series range and so it will be joining the Brera J5 3.2 C and Spider J6 3.2 C in the Autodelta line-up. This will happen just in time for the opening of the order book on the 1st of July for the high performance sports saloon. The theme of the Autodelta 159 J4 2.2 C is to continue a long standing tradition of applying forced induction principles to develop nothing less than the very ultimate expression of high performance motoring. The specialists offer the Autodelta 159 J4 2.2 C supercharged package at this level, commercialized at a highly competitive price. They have created a car to satisfy even the most demanding of drivers, a car that simply immerses drivers into its stunning dynamic capabilities, and that allows them to experience everything that Alfa Romeo used to build its values on. The model receives power from a 2.2 JTS direct injection petrol engine, the first production application of forced induction to this robust engine. This is capable of generating starting with 185 BHP and it can go up to 245 BHP. The peak torque is raised from 230 Nm to 290 Nm. The model features a totally new aluminum inlet manifold that now has a reduced volume. This has also been a critical component to increase the speed response. The modifications brought to the inlet and exhaust camshaft variation control strategy had to be evolved to generate more continuous torque and improve drivability. The Autodelta engineers had to adopt cutting-edge NGK Iridium IX spark plugs for the Autodelta 159 J4 2.2 C for the all round advancements they offer and specifically because a colder heat range spark plug was necessary. Autodelta first introduced a limited slip differential working on the front wheels with the 147 3.7 GTA AM model almost 5 years ago. The chassis dynamics have been redesigned to provide optimum handling and ability to use the additional power without any form of compromise. It incorporates all new dampers and springs.
