Cadillac SLS

The 2008 Cadillac SLS represents a stretched version of the STS luxury sedan and it is scheduled to hit the car markets from the Middle East at the beginning of 2008. Its manufacturing took place at Shanghai GM`s state-of-the art facilities in Shanghai, China. The SLS was inspired from the STS sedan, except for its additional engineering work and design. Cadillac General Manager Jim Taylor, stated that they were proud to bring the SLS to the Middle East market as they were convinced that it would be as successful with the customers who appreaciated luxury cars, as it had been in China. As compared to the STS luxury sedan, the SLS appears to be 100 mm longer, thus resulting in a more spacious interior which provides a rear legroom of 1060mm. Its design makes it an unmistakable Cadillac, with subtle V-shapes which are a recurring motif in both the exterior and interior design. The interior ensures the ultimate level of comfort and driving pleasure thanks to its ambient lighting, Tuscany leather and sapele pommele wood accents, providing the driver and passengers with a premium look and feel. Its power is delivered by the Northstar 4.6-liter V8 engine which produces 320 HP, mated to an electronically-controlled six-speed automatic transmission. Responsive handling and a refined ride are reinforced by a sport suspension, along with StabiliTrak and Magnetic Ride Control.
