Chevy HHR SS

The 2008 Chevy HHR SS was developed and engineered by GM Performance division and it is powered by a 2.0-liter Ecotec turbocharged and intercooled engine which raises the power output to 260 HP and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. The turbocharged powertrain is completed by an all-new FE5 Sport suspension which includes specific stabilizer bars, spring rates and damper tuning. It hosts a number of elegant features, beginning with the Michelin pilot Sport tires, the 18-inch high-polished forged aluminum wheels and the sporty interior. The seat features contemporary, mesh-style impression cloth coverings with ultra suede inserts in the center section for additional grip and "SS" logos are embroidered on the front seats. The 2008 HHR SS was introduced to the enthusiast public during the nation`s largest celebration of automotive heritage, the Woodward Dream Cruise. Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager, stated that the car model proved to be an extremely worthy addition as it featured a muscular stance, turbocharged power, as well as track-capable handling, thus re-affirming Chevy`s commitment to the sport compact market. The standard features of the exterior appointments include new front and rear fascias, new front grilles and a rear spoiler. The safety active features integrate four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and StabiliTrak electronic stability control. The vehicle provides an outstanding versatility and performance without compromising the fuel economy. The HHR SS hints to the future models, which will comprise a superior level of power, braking and handling capabilities, in order to attract an increasing number of customers. The HHR SS was developed on some of the most challenging tracks in North America and Europe, in order to offer its drivers a totally integrated performance driving experience.
