HSV SV08 GTS 40th Anniversary

Time has come to see what Holden Special Vehicles have prepared for the Australian International Motor Show. To be more precise, they have developed the ClubSport R8 Tourer and W427 Show car. This is not all. Apparently for their 40th Anniversary, the carmaker developed a special model, a Senator Signature SV08. This new car brings the new TR6060 manual transmission to the range. The specialist will offer it as standard across the HSV model line-up later this month. Holden Special Vehicles officials also made public the fact that they are investing a lot in research and development to identify new fuel saving technologies, just like their clients expect. For the anniversary, the carmaker releases a limited edition GTS. Back in 1968 the first GTS showed its face and has since been the hero car-line for the high performance car company. The 100 units built will feature black heritage stripes, tire pressure monitors and a commemorative 40 years GTS logo embedded on the headrests, brake caliper, sill plate and rear panel of the model. The starting price was established at $80.170. The colors available are Sting Red and Heron White. Holden Special Vehicles has released a limited run of 50 HSV Senator Signature SV08. It seems that the specialists will build 20 units with a manual transmission and 30 units with an automatic one. Each SV08 will receive sill plates and additional chrome accenting on the side mirrors and door handles. As standard, the engineers have provided the 20-inch Pentagon wheel. To transfer the power to the wheels, the model is equipped with new Tremec TR6060 transmission and it will be available in Nitrate and Sting Red and Voodoo colors.
