Jeep Liberty

The 2008 Jeep Liberty has maintained its leadership position in the mid-size sport-utility vehicle market since it was unveiled in 2002. It offers its enthusiast customers a sense of personal capability and freedom that has made the Jeep brand truly unique. The new independent front suspension has considerably refined the on-road ride handling of the Jeep Liberty which remained true to its legendary 4x4 heritage. Furthermore, the exterior has also received some enhancements, such as a more classic Jeep look that is meant to reach a wider group of customers. The interior provides more comfort and space, while the vehicle's growing features include rain-sensing wipers, memory seats and mirrors. George Murphy, Senior Vice President - Global Marketing, Chrysler Group, stated that the all-new 2008 Jeep Liberty stood out from the competition as it offered customers classic Jeep design, two four-wheel drive systems, cargo and utility. It targets customers who want Jeep 4x4 capability, together with convenience and comfort. Their passion for adventure and outdoors will be balanced with day-to-day responsabilities. In terms of powertrain, the 3.7-liter SOHC V6 engine delivers impressive output figures, 210 HP at 5,200 rpm and 319 Nm of peak torque. In the United States, the Jeep Liberty is available with two transmissions: a four-speed automatic transmission and a six-speed manual one. The safety active features include the Electronic Stability program, Electronic Roll Mitigation, Brake Assist, All-speed Traction Control and Tire Pressure Monitoring. The Jeep Liberty is scheduled to hit the dealerships at the endof 2007 and it was manufactured under the Chrysler Develoment System, one which reduces costs and encourages practical innovation in new products.
