Carlsson CK50 based on Mercedes-Benz SL 500

Carlsson Autotechnik GmbH is ready to offer an individualization program for the SL 500, this way becoming Carlsson CK50. The 5.5-liter V8 engine that already powers the model is now capable of generating 435 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. This output enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and to reach a top speed of 293 km/h. The exhaust gas back pressure is reduced with the help of sports middle and rear exhaust silencer made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and developed by the engineers from Carlsson. The tuner can also provide the appropriate performance enhancements for versions of the SL with other engines in them, extending up to the CK65, a model capable of producing more than 700 horsepower and 1.100 Nm of torque. All engines that have been tuned by Carlsson still comply with all the regulations concerning exhaust fumes. For the vehicles with an AMG styling package, the tuning company is offering a length-adjustable front spoiler lip, made of PUR in original equipment manufacturer quality or of carbon, which is used as a material in motor sports. For the standard rear apron, the aftermarket specialists offer grille inserts made of electro-polished stainless steel. The new model is available with different color mats which are elegant and made of velour. As the speedometer goes up to 360 km/h the model demonstrates that there is far greater potential slumbering under the bonnet than you will ever find in the regular model. The tuner is capable of modifying the interior depending on the wishes of the customer. In the end know that there are no limits in what the specialists from Carlsson can do. These are all the information available on the matter so far, but stay on the look-out if you are one of the ones interested in the new model.
