Time has come to meet a new limited edition vehicles developed by the AMG Performance Studio, the exclusive Mercedes-Benz SL AMG Edition IWC. The specialists will only build 200 units. Each will feature a very attractive designo magno Kashmir white finish, but also an AMG Exterior Carbon package with a matte surface. Also, the new Mercedes-Benz SL AMG Edition IWC will also feature the AMG Performance package to ensure unparalleled handling. The models will be delivered to customers along with an exquisite Grosser Ingenieur watch from the renowned Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen. The limited edition status of the car is emphasized by black AMG floor mats with Tobago Brown leather piping, AMG door sills with white illuminated AMG lettering, but also the IWC logo on the lid of the center console. For better control, the two-tone AMG Parformance steering wheel has a reduced diameter and silver-finish aluminum gearshift paddles. The steering wheel is part of the Performance package, which also includes 19-inch AMG light alloy, double-spoke wheels with a titanium gray finish and polished surfaces. The wheels are covered tires measuring 255 / 35 R 19 and 285 / 30 R 19. On the front axle, the car features internally ventilated, perforated composite disc brakes that keep braking distances to a minimum and ensure the vehicle is extremely resistant to fading. Under the hood it hides a 6.3-liter V8 engine capable of generating 525 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque. All the output is being transferred to the wheels through an all-new AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission. The power produced enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and to reach an electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h. The ones interested will be able to order the Mercedes-Benz SL AMG Edition IWC beginning in fall 2008.
