Nissan Rogue Crossover

The 2008 Nissan Rogue Crossover was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show, which took place in Detroit and it is scheduled to hit the markets in September 2007, being expected to be priced starting around $20,000. It will be released in two models, Rogue S and Rogue SL, each of them being powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, mated to Nissan's advanced Xtronic CVT, Vehicle Dynamic Control as well as four-wheel brakes featuring Antilock Braking System and rated at 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft torque. The features of the engine include an aluminum block, reduced piston and piston ring friction and increased thermal efficiency. The other high performance technologies of the Rogue comprise a powerful Bose-developed audio system integrating AUX input and MP3 playback, a Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System, satellite radio and Intelligent Key. Bill Bosley, Vice President at Nissan, stated that the designers of Rogue were interested in creating a vehicle that made one first think of its power, style and sophistication. Xenon headlights as standard, a power sliding glass sunroof featuring dark gray glass as well as a roof rail system with detachable cross bars, complete the special appearance of the car on the road, providing nothing more but excitement and driving pleasure. The body weight was reduced through the extensive use of high-strength steel, while the body also incorporates large front door openings for easy ingress and egress. The ultra-functional interior is driver-oriented with exceptional utility and a sophisticated integration of a cockpit-like driver's space. The driver gets an improved visibility due to the seat's position, while the steering wheel and instrument panel layout were designed to offer easy readability and operation while also providing a sporty look and feel. The flod-flat front passenger seat allows over 8.5 feet of front-to-rear cargo space for carrying long items such as wood or ladders, while the standard features further integrate leather-appointed seating surfaces and heated front seats. The distinctive style, roominess and ultra functionality ensured by the Rogue, will definitely attract a lot of enthusiasts.
