New 140 hp 2.0 TDI engine
This 103 kW TDI power unit, with four cylinders fed by pump-line-nozzle injection units, delivers its maximum output of 140 hp at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 310 Nm at 1,900 rpm.
Partnered by a six-speed manual gearbox, this engine fulfils the minimum standards laid down by the European Union`s EU4 emissions legislation and powers the Alhambra to a top speed in excess of 192 km/h and from 0 to 100 km/h in just 12,2 seconds.
The 140 hp Alhambra 2.0 TDI will be in showrooms by the end of the year and will be available with any of the model range`s trim lines: Reference, Stylance and Sport.
TECHNOLOGY -Multimedia option
Stylance models also offer the option of a multimedia technology package which allows passengers to enjoy a film on DVD or connect a digital video camera, laptop, DVD or MP3 player or even a video games console. This multimedia solution will deftly underscore the Alhambra`s character as "an MPV for sporty families".
The equipment will enable middle-row passengers in the MPV to enjoy the whole range of in-car entertainment. Two TFT colour screens incorporated into the back of the front-seat headrests will give access to all the thrills of multimedia.
The DVD player in the centre console will be operable by remote control, and second-row passengers will also have dedicated headset connections.
Wide range of engines
The Alhambra petrol engine range consists of the 115 hp (85kW) 2.0, 150 hp (110 kW) 1.8 20VT and the 204 hp (150 kW) 2.8 V6 models. Diesel power for the MPV comes in the form of three TDI engines with pump-line-nozzle injection units developing 90, 115 and 140 hp, respectively.
The 2.8 V6 and 115 hp 1.9 TDI models of the MPV are also available in the 4 four-wheel-drive version. These two engines as well as the 150 hp 1.8 20VT can also be combined with the Tiptronic automatic and sequential 5-speed gearbox.
EQUIPMENT - Reference, Stylance and Sport
The Alhambra can be specified with three different trim levels: Reference, Stylance and Sport. The principal elements of each trim line are detailed below.
Reference*. Included as standard on the entry-level Reference version are ESP, head airbags, fog lights, front airbags and sidebags, climatronic, electrically adjustable door mirrors with electrically controlled parking position, ten-speaker audio system with radio and CD player, electronic immobiliser and height-adjustable driver`s seat.
Stylance*. This trim line adds dual-zone climate control, 16-inch light-alloy wheels, wood trim strips, trip computer, cruise control, volumetric alarm, parking aid sensor, leather steering wheel, heated front windscreen, 6-disc CD changer in the centre console and dark-tinted windows.
Sport*. Building on the Reference trim, the Sport version features: exclusive 17-inch light-alloy wheels, leather steering wheel and gearshift knob, sports seats, sports suspension, climate control, volumetric alarm, six-dial instrument panel, cruise control, trip computer and parking aid sensor.
Optional equipment features for the Alhambra include xenon headlamps, parking aid system, integrated child`s seat, 6-disc CD changer in the dashboard, multifunction steering wheel with audio controls and cruise control system, dynamic navigation system, electric sunroof and dual-zone climate control.
