Volkswagen Scirocco GT24

Volkswagen is presenting for the first time the new version of the Scirocco at the legendary GTI Meet. The model will be the center of attention at two cult events for car enthusiasts at the same time. The VW Scirocco GT24 with the blue-white finish sits so low on its extended wheel wells that a hand will not fit between the wheel arch and the tire. The new model will be capable of generating 325 PS and will be drive during the race as well. It obtains its power from only two liters displacement: the 16-valve direct injection engine with a turbocharger and intercooler delivers its maximum torque of 340 Nm starting from 2.100 rpm. The output is being transferred to the wheels through a dual clutch gearbox which is also available for the production model. The carmaker got his inspiration from the first VW Scirocco which was built in the 70s. Its success lasted for almost 20 years, during which time more than 360.000 VW Sciroccos were built. The model stopped its activity once the new model was revealed at the Geneva motor Show this year. Apparently this new development will continue with the success of the previous model. The Germans can be really proud of their achievement. Their dedication for the job, the talent and professionalism are very obvious and are being reflected in the final product, in the new VW Scirocco.
