Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA

Alfa Romeo developed the new MiTo GTA Concept a model which has the priority objectives of reducing weight and achieving an excellent power-to-weight ratio. This is why the specialists have decided to use components of ultra-light carbon fiber like for example, for the tailgate spoiler, the roof and the mirror fairings, as well as the use of aluminum for the braking system, suspension and some parts of the chassis. To obtain the best power-to-weight ratio an innovative engine has been specially developed. This has been developed in accordance with this principle, using advanced technical solutions in the field of spark ignition engines, including direct gasoline injection, dual VVT, the turbocharger and a revolutionary management system. It has been designed to interact with the Alfa system which allows the driver to select the most suitable driving mode and thereby modify the operating parameters of the various vehicle systems. It enhances safety and driving pleasure under all conditions. Now, the front end has wide air intakes necessary to allow the lively engine to breath, it also has a new grille, the badges positioned on the bonnet and a new bumper. On the bonnet we can see the windscreen wiper deflector which further contributes to improving the aerodynamic performance of the car. Anyway, the overall effect of these solutions is to give the front end a special appearance, in which the sportiness is emphasized by the technical solutions adopted and the special chromatic effects. The rear end has been redesigned to achieve maximum aerodynamic performance. The bumper has an air extractor to increase aerodynamic down force, at the center of which emerges the large diameter twin exhaust pipe. The MiTo GTA Concept manages to maximize driving pleasure by virtue of this innovative dashboard display, which gives the driver the sensation of being at the wheels of a great and real competition car.
