Audi S3 Sportback

The 2009 Audi S3 Sportback considerably increases driving pleasure through its fresh dynamism and an accentuated design. The suspension control system, the Audi magnetic ride as well as the seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission, further enhance the innovative technologies of the S3. The design appears to be sharper and more striking, thus lending an even greater expression to the A3 family, while the additional equipment integrates the reversible loadliner, the parking assistant and the Audi parking system at front and rear, adding to the exceptional appeal of these models. The history of the A3 dates back in 1996, when the first-generation model had its premiere and it has built 1.9 million units since then. The adaptive-action shock absorber control system is an extremely challenging feature which successfully overcomes the age-old conflict between ride comfort and dynamic behaviour. As an option, the electronic damping control system can be supplied by Audi, in the case of the gasoline versions from 160 HP upwards and for both two-liter TDI versions. There are three lines available for the enthusiast customers, beginning with the Attraction which boasts a compelling character, the Ambition which appears in a dynamic look and including sport seats, 17-inch wheels and a sport suspension, and least, but not last, the Ambiente which offers a light and rain sensor, cruise control as well as an interior lighting package. The high performance standard of the A3 is showed by an array of new options which comprise a deluxe automatic air conditioning and a high technological parking system which informs the driver about the iminent obstructions through an emitted signal. The reengineered 2.0 TFSI engine delivers an impressive output of 265 HP and 350 Nm of torque from 2,500 to 5,000 rpm. The 0-100 km/h sprint is covered in only 5.7 seconds, while the maximum speed reaches 250 km/h. Just like the A3, the S3 received a number of optical modifications which clearly distinguish it by striking lines on the radiator grille, on the bumpers and on the roof spoiler, and aluminum-look exterior mirrors. The interior welcomes the driver and passengers with Alcantara/leather or all-leather upholstery, while Audi exclusive bucket seats are available as an option. The shipping of the optimized Audi A3, A3 Sportback and the two S3 versions, is scheduled to begin in the summer.
