Audi S3 Sportback

German carmaker Audi developed the Audi S3, a model which is not only available with five doors, but also with the 7-speed S Tronic twin-clutch transmission. This actually quickens shifts compared with the continuing manual version, but it also slows down fuel consumption. The ones interested can start ordering from the 1st of October and at an extra cost of EUR1.450 the slick transmission can be features in the final product. The starting price was established at EUR28.920 and it goes up to EUR29.420. British customers will start receiving their cars at the middle of December. The transmission enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.5 seconds. This means it is 0.2 seconds quicker than the manual version, but they are both capable of reaching 155 mph top speed. The new CO2 emission level reaches 193 g/km down from 198 g/km. The first of the two clutches serves the odd-numbered gears and reverse, and the second the even-numbered gears, so when the S3 is being driven in third gear, for example, fourth is already pre-selected in anticipation. The engineers have also offered the renewed Quattro FWD system. Its central hydraulic multi-plate clutch now responds even faster when the output developed by the engine needed to be redistributed between the front and rear wheels to reach a top level of stability and traction. The power produced is being transferred to the road through 18-inch parallel 5-spoke S design alloy wheels. The engineers have also offered as standard equipment S body styling and interior detailing and also S sports suspension. The package elements provided by the German carmaker Audi also include Silk Nappa leather-upholstered sports seats and Xenon Plus head lamps with LED strip daytime running lights.
