Dacia Sandero Stepway

Today Dacia revealed the new Sandero Stepway at the Barcelona Motor Show and at the L Atelier Renault Showroom in Paris. Its athletic build will appeal to younger buyers looking for an affordable vehicle with bags of personality. Because of its raised ground clearance, satin-finish chrome front and rear skid-plates and sills, chrome longitudinal roof bars and chrome exhaust tailpipe, the new Dacia Sandero Stepway is more than ready to hit the adventure trail. Three metallic colors are available as standard. Depending on the market, the model will be available with either 1.6-liter petrol engine capable of generating 90 horsepower or dCi diesel capable of producing 70 horsepower. The Sandero Stepway is being built in Romania, in Pitesti. The carmaker offers great equipment and performance package for its price and will be available for sale in the majority of its European markets from September 2009. It will arrive with a three-year or 100.000 km warranty. The new model combines sporty appeal and refinement thanks to details such as its black headlamp masks, chrome grille trim, 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels, satin-finish chrome exterior mirrors, door handles and sills, and chrome exhaust tailpipes which all contribute to the assertive personality of the model. It features Stepway branding on the front doors and front chrome door sills, while decorative graphics for the side of the rear wings are also available as accessories. The model is particularly spacious as it can seat up to five tall adults thanks to its generous dimensions. In terms of safety equipment, the model features Bosch 8.1 ABS with electronic brake force distribution and emergency brake assist, plus driver and front passenger airbags. The Sandero Stepway has as base the Ambiance version and in addition to its specific styling details, features a long list of comfort-related equipment, including fog lamps for enhanced visibility and a 60 / 40-split folding rear bench seat.
