Ford Kuga Individual

American carmaker Ford has developed some new power train and styling enhancements for the new Ford Kuga and will present them all at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. at the beginning of 2009, the powerful Kuga will be offered with a 2.5-liter Duratec Turbo petrol engine capable of generating 200 PS. This engine will be paired to a new optional Durashift 5-tronic automatic transmission to send the power to the wheels. This is not all. The new Ford Kuga will also be available with Ford Individual vehicle personalization options, combining a new exterior body kit and specially designed 20-inch alloy wheels to transfer the output to the road. The new petrol unit offers drivers smooth but agile power and high torque levels over a wide speed range, combined with a high level of refinement and a distinctive engine sound. The 2.5-liter Turbo comes with the Haldex Gen 4 Intelligent AWD system and manual 6-speed transmission as standard and delivers impressive performance. The total output is 200 PS and 320 Nm of torque which enables the car to reach a top speed of 208 km/h. It only needs 9.9 liters of fuel per 100 km and the CO2 emission level reaches 234 g/km. As optional, the Ford Kuga will be also available with the new Durashift 5-tronic automatic transmission. The key versatility of the new transmission is the ability for the driver to switch between different modes. Sport and Manual modes give faster transmission reaction times to minimal throttle inputs from the driver, providing a sportier and more dynamic driving style. The Ford Kuga will be available with an exciting and very luxurious Ford Individual interior treatment. All of these body kit features are due to be made available to Kuga customers as production items in the first half of 2009.
