Lotus Elise Club Racer

Lotus developed the Elise Club Racer, a model that is capable of combining performance, efficiency and style under the same name. The special edition will have its debut at the 2009 IAA in Frankfurt. The high performance, low emission sports car has lightweight components, exclusive color scheme, and bespoke interior. The engine is capable of accelerating enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds producing 179 g/km CO2 emissions and a combines cycle fuel consumption of 37.2 mpg. Lotus combined the classic color schemes it used in the 1960s with exclusive Club Racer interior design for incredible function and form. The exterior body color theme was combined with silver and black highlights. The exclusive interior design features are the anthracite anodised gear knob and handbrake sleeve, the Club Racer logo hand embroidered on the seat headrest and the unique anodized aluminum flooring in the footwall of the driver and passenger. The model has as base the 134 horsepower Elise S and goes on sale on the 15th September 2009. Prices will be different depending on the market. In Belgium it will cost EUR 34.475, France EUR34.175, Italy EUR 34.770 and Switzerland CHF 48.820. The recommended retail price for Germany was established at EUR 33.125. For UK the retail recommended price was established at GBP 25.712. This price includes delivery, PDI, first service, number plates, first registration fee, valet, a full tank of fuel and 12 months Road Fund License. For the Euro Zone Countries the suggested retail price if the manufacturer is EUR 27.822 and does not include the ones mentioned above.
