Nissan Fuga

Japanese carmaker Nissan developed the first generation Fuga luxury sedan, a model that combines performance, comfort and interior quality in a harmonious way. It will available in dealerships starting this fall. Buyers can choose from either the VQ37VHR 3.7-liter V6 or the VQ25HR 2.5-liter V6. The carmaker also offers Double-Piston Shock Absorbers that employ a double piston construction to improve handling and ride quality by increasing oil flow inside the shock absorber to reduce vibration from road undulations and absorb minor road imperfections. Thanks to the Intelligent Cruise Control, the sedan encourages safe and comfortable driving. The system supports safe driving by providing information to alert the driver at blind intersections for example, based on information on nearby vehicles and traffic environment. The Fuga employs a world-first ECO-pedal. An eco-driving indicator integrated into the instrument panel feeds the driver with real-time fuel consumption levels to help improve their driving behavior. The interior of the Fuga has been further improved in quality by enhancing trim and details. The carmaker used materials suitable to each specific location in the car so that occupants sense they are cocooned in a tailor-made cabin, surrounded by surfaces that are soft to the touch and switches that are newly designed and offer a more luxurious, high-quality feel. Thanks to all the luxurious elements, the Fuga is a leading luxury sedan. The occupants can enjoy the relaxing effect of special aromas and natural outdoor-like breezes though air vents and a world-first climate control system that creates the cleanest interior environment ever. At the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show, the Japanese carmaker will also present a hybrid version of the Fuga, powered by a 3.5-liter V6 high-power Li-ion battery and a hybrid system only developed by Nissan. It will be available for purchase starting the fall of 2010.
