Audi A5 Sportback Quattro

German carmaker Audi developed the new Audi A5 Sportback, a 5-door concept model with long rear end. It combines in a very harmonious way the elegance of a coupe, the comfort of a sedan and the practicability of a station wagon. The new model will be available in dealerships in September. It will have a spectacular design, high everyday practicality, a sporty character and engines that are as efficient as they are powerful. The A5 Sportback will be the entry-level model in the A5 model series. The interior is spacious, and it offers comfort in all four seats without compromising anything. The luggage compartment is large and harmoniously integrated into the long tail end with the flat C pillars. All engines are highly-efficient direct injection models and all comply with the Euro 5 emission standard. The carmaker offers a recuperation system to all its models to recover energy during braking and stores it temporarily in the battery. At the base, Audi offers three gasoline and three TDI engines. By the middle of 2010, another three will also be available. Now, three gasoline engines the 2.0-liter TFSI capable of developing 180 horsepower or 211 horsepower and the 3.2-liter V6 with 265 horsepower are equipped with the valve-lift system for variable control of valve-lift developed by Audi. This way, the technology offers performance and reduces the fuel consumption in the same time. The 2.0-liter TDI develops 170 horsepower and has a fuel consumption of 5.2 liters / 100 km. the 2.7-liter TDI develops 190 horsepower and the 3.0-liter TDI, 240 horsepower and features the S-Tronic. The top diesel engine delivers its power to the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. The two TDI models with front-wheel drive, the 2.0-liter TDI and the 2.7-liter TDI and the 2.0-liter TFSI benefit from another Audi innovation, the ESP stabilization program with electronic front differential lock that increases agility and also prevents under-steering. The perfect complement is the Audi drive select vehicle dynamics system, which enables the driver to freely very the throttle response characteristic and the boost provided by the servo-Tronic steering system which is offered as standard.
