Audi Quattro 30 Anniversary

German carmaker Audi is celebrating 30 years of Quattro. Audi Tradition will therefore be exhibiting four Audi Quattro model of outstanding interest at the Techno Classica in Essen, Germany, the largest classic car show in the world. At the Grand Prix Historique in Monaco, two Auto Union Silver Arrow racing cars will be seen in action: one of them is the Auto Union Type C and the other one the Auto Union Type D with twin-turbocharged engine. The carmaker will be running its vehicles again at the largest historic car event in the world, the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England. The 1939 Auto Union Type D Grand Prix racing car with its twin-turbocharger engine will be among the treasures from collection of Audi Treasure. The list of events the carmaker will participate continues with the Silvretta Classic and the Gran Premio Nuvolari. Audi is the main sponsor at the Danube Classic in Ingolstadt, the Heidelberg Historic and the Eifel Classic Rally at the Nurburgring. In 2010 this 30 years anniversary is not the only one, but there will also be a second major jubilee year, 125 years of the Wanderer Company that was represented by one of the four rings in the logo of the company and that built cars and motorcycles until the outbreak of the Second World War. The Audi Treasure will be taking part in the 125 Years of Wanderer meeting that starts in September 2nd and last until the 5th in Leipzig and Chemnitz.
