Chevrolet Corvette GTR by Specter Werkes/Sports

The new Chevrolet Corvette received a tuning program from Specter Werkes / Sports. The new improved model will have its first official public display at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas in November 3rd. The model can be seen outside the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. It will be very easy to spot as it has a unique BASF Pearl Blue exterior color and also HRE CF40 carbon fiber wheels. The new GTR has as base the Corvette Z06 and it is the work result between Specter Werkes / Sports and Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. Under the hood it features a Lingenfelter twin-turbo system that power the car and that is capable of developing 800 horsepower through its 7.0-liter LS7 engine. For the ones of us who do not know, president of Specter Werkes / Sports, Jeff Nowicki said that there have been several Specter GTRs displayed at the SEMA Show but that this is the most unique example to date and they think it will resonate with sports car enthusiasts of all types. The new GTR features an incredible body-work and carbon fiber details with design cues that inspire luxury and performance. The package offered by the Specter Werkes / Sports can be installed on all C6 Corvette models. They are talking about the base coupe and convertible, the Z06 and ZR1. The carbon fiber wheels and other carbon accents are completed by a matte black rear fascia. The carbon fiber wheels weight only 22 pounds each and are covered in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Zero Pressure tires. The tuner also offers STR big-brake package, featuring six-piston front calipers and four piston calipers, Corsa exhaust system with GTR-specific exhaust tips and matte-finish carbon fiber accents, including the headlamps housing, front splitter, outside mirrors and a lot more. The Specter Werkes / Sports headquarter is in Michigan.
