Lotus Exige S Type 72 Special Edition

The Lotus Exige S Type 72 celebrates the most successful F1 car ever, the Lotus Type 72 Formula One car. The model managed to obtain 20 Grand Prix victories between 1970 and 1975. The color scheme commemorates the famous and easily recognizable black and gold Lotus Type 72 livery and is finished by the same sign writer who painted racing cars for Team Lotus. The model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and to reach 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 145 mph and 233 km/h respectively. The Type 72 is a very powerful supercharged mid-engine sports car that feels at home on the road or on the track. Its engine has VVTL-I technology that ensures impressive performance all the way to the rev limiter at 8500 rpm. The exterior features unique black and gold light weight wheels and is finished with hand-painted gold Type 72 and Exige S logos. All Lotus Cars offer incredible handling and performance and of course, the Exige is exception offering excellent dynamics and great driver involvement. The carmaker provided different options for their new model including air conditioning, limited slip differential and the performance pack that offers a power increase of 240 PS, larger AP Racing brakes, enlarged roof scoop and Lotus variable traction control and Lotus Launch control. Only 20 units will be produced of this special edition for the British customers and another 20 for the rest of Europe. The Japanese customer will also receive a limited run of cars on different markets. The starting price was established at GBP35.995 excluding the GBP950 road costs. The Euro zone price is EUR40.332 excluding local country tax.
