Buick Envision SUV concept

On the Shanghai GM stand at Auto Shanghai 2011 the Buick Envision SUV concept vehicle will be presented.
Shi Hong, Director of Buick Marketing at Shanghai GM said The Envision was developed jointly by Shanghai GM and the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC).
Buick essences like speed, power, lightness, strength and elegance meets in the Envision.
The Envision features a two-layer traditional Buick waterfall grille, headlamps and fog lights inspired by traditional Chinese patterns, 22-inch doubled-layered aluminum alloy wheels, scissor-style doors with sensors etc.
Car's interior is a combination between the two-toned high-quality galaxy-blue and sand-beach white Italian leather and high-class maple and metallic materials with a velvety texture.
The driver and passengers can are able to enjoy the technology comfort Bluetooth DUN Intelligent Internet and micro-cameras and transmitting sensors.
Beside a 2.0-liter SIDI intelligent direct injection turbocharged engine complemented by a pair of electric motor generators in the Envision's dual automatic/manual eight-speed transmission, it has a high-performance lithium battery and a solar energy roof with optical equipment serve as an alternative energy source independent from the engine.
The Envision's chassis is composed of carbon fiber, magnesium and aluminum.
Ed Welburn, GM Vice President of Global Design said The Envision has inherited Buick design DNA and it will influence upcoming models from the brand.
