Chevrolet Corvette Z06X Track Car concept

The 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06X Track Car Concept was designed to suggest new components and a new idea for transforming a production Corvette into a serious and closed-course track car.
This track car concept was developed and produced by Chevrolet in partnership with Pratt and Miller, the partners in Corvette Racing in the American LeMans Series.
Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer considers that Corvette performance and technology incorporates racing and the concept beautifully embodies a combination between the production Z06 and their GT car. The base of the Z06X concept is represented by the Corvette Z06 with the 1LZ equipment package, together with the CFZ Carbon Fiber Package and the Z07 Performance Package.
The CFZ package comprises a front splitter and an enhanced aerodynamic down force on the race track, due to its body components, while the Z07 package provides the lightest production Corvette and incorporates Magnetic Ride Control and carbon fiber ceramic brakes.
The competition-oriented modifications of the concept include a polycarbonate rear window, roll cage, safety harness, racing seat, racing wheels, an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing as well as suspension enhancements.
Its interior hints to a business feeling with a roll cage-mounted camera system, window net together with a racing seat. Corvette's racing-influenced design is stressed by the exterior color and accents.
