Chevrolet Aveo RS Concept

Chevrolet announced the world debut of its new Aveo RS chow car. The model will be presented at the 2010 North American International Auto Show. It was designed to appeal to young enthusiasts and it represents a path towards the next-generation Aveo with its hot hatch look design. The new Aveo RS is longer, wider and more spacious in comparison with the current production Aveo and it presents the options that might be available on the next-generation car. The show car features cues such as the dual element grille, round tail-lamps and fender flares, but also low openings and a lower mouth trimmed in a combination of brushed and polished aluminum. The fog lamps are integrated into an exaggerated brake-cooling inlet that flows into the front fender flares, offering a more aggressive face. The headlamps were offered thanks to the passion of the designer for motorcycles. At a first look, the car actually looks like a three-door hatchback thanks to the rear door handles that are located in the C-pillar area. The model runs on 19-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels with a gun metal metallic finish Chevrolet logo. At the rear, the model features an integrated spoiler. On the inside it features accent stitching across the dual cockpit instrument panel, front and rear door insert, steering wheels rim, gear shift boot, parking brake, leather seat bolster and even the floor mats. The new Aveo RS is powered by a 1.4-liter I-4 Ecotec turbocharged engine capable of developing 138 horsepower. This engine will also power the future Chevrolet Cruze. All the output will be transferred to the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission that was designed to ensure the car will provide an incredible driving experience. The model will be built in Michigan.
