The 2011 Citroen DS5 is an innovative and distinctive model and it was designed to express the full extent of Citroen's "Creative Technologie", providing exceptional refinement together with rewarding driving dynamics. The DS5 is the first model of Citroen that integrates Hybrid4 diesel hybrid technology, resulting in class leading environmental credentials as well as enhanced performance. It boasts CO2 emissions of just 99 g/km. The DS line is known for its combination between the style of a coupe and the the flexibility of a five-door hatchback. The DS5 aims to reach those customers who want a truly bold and assertive car featuring a modern approach to vehicle design. The Citroen DS5 ensures true technological innovation to its class and was based on the magical and futuristic C-SportLounge concept. The exterior appears to be dynamic with its flowing lines, muscular wheel arches and a sleek profile, providing the car with an undoubted air of refined confidence. The assertive front end is defined by a new LED light signature, a large chrome-finished grille incorporating the chevrons and an oversized air intake. However, the interior is as charismatic as the exterior, comprising a near-vertical steering wheel, a wide central console, an ambient lighting and a colour Head-Up Display that projects essential information into the driver's line of sight. Interior detailing includes decorative inserts in Markassa ebony and a highly reflective fascia, created by applying several layers of lacquer.
The Citroen DS5 will have its debut in Shanghai, opening up new horizons of pioneering architecture.
