The 2011 Fiat 500 150th special edition South Africa marks a crucial milestone in the history of Italy and Fiat Group Automobiles South Africa has painted the town green, white and red as it was the 150th anniversary of the country's unification. The new Fiat 500 150th Limited Edition is available in a choice of three colours, Bossa Nova White, Pasadoble Red or Funk White and was the star of the show made by Fiat and Alfa Romeo for the commemoration of the event.
The eye-catching car model will be produced in 28 units only and features a number of differentiating clues that set it apart from its sibling, among which there are five-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels, body-colour treatment, rear spoiler in body colour, fixed metal roof, instrument cluster integrating sporty graphics as well as a sports grey/black cloth interior with special foamed padding.
Concerning the powertrain, the same spirited 1.4-liter V6 engine delivers a maximum output of 73,5 kW and 131 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm, while it reaches a maximum speed of 182 km/h and a 0-100 km/h sprint in only 10.5 seconds. The 500 150th Limited Edition comprises as standard traction control, stability control, hill holder, ABS, EBD and seven airbags that also include a driver's kneebag.
