As Ford is now coming to its 45th year of being Britain`s best selling van, Ford Company decided to release 100 special edition of Transit SportVan models, which feature distinctive red livery.
It is powered by a 140 PS TDCi Duratorq engine with a six-speed transmission and the SportVan first appeared on the market in 2006, willing to reach those customers who wanted to make a bold statement with their commercial vehicle.
The previous models were sold quite fast and we are talking about Performance Blue with white stripes (500)Sea Grey with silver stripes (80), Panther Black with silver stripes (500), Frozen White with blue stripes (80) and Ink Blue with silver stripes (150), and according to Mark Simpson, the Ford marketing director in Britain, the reason for these rapid sellings is that the Ford SportVan is a reliable workhorse. It will also be the first medium van featuring a DAB radio as standard. Among other features we can include velour trim for the interior, together with air conditioning, cruise control, powered and heated mirrors, leather steering wheel and a perimeter alarm, being available as standard also.
As concerning the options, the drivers may choose leather seats, Satellite Navigation FX system, LED cargo lights in the rear and LED daytime running lights.
Its sales are to start in October, with a price of £22,630.
