The 2011 Honda Civic SI Tour featuring Blink-182 and My Chemical Romance is presented at the event that celebrates 10 years of bringing the hottest acts in music across the country. All fans will be offered affordable tickets for the Honda Civic Tour, except for the members of the blink-182 and My Chemical Romance fan clubs, who will receive access to exclusive pre-sale tickets on Monday, June 6. This summer's tour is expected to play to 500,000 fans in total. Continuing a Honda Civic Tour tradition, Honda will present fans with an opportunity to check out one-of-a-kind vehicles that have been customized and autographed by the headlining bands. The Honda Civic Tour has offered over two million fans interactive concert experience since 2001 with their favourite bands, including Paramore, The Black Eyed Peas, Fall Out Boy, Everclear, Incubus, Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, Dashboard Confessional, Maroon 5 and Panic at the Disco. Tom Peyton, Honda brand manager for American Honda Motor Co., Inc., stated that the timing was the best to bring back one of the biggest bands from tours past with the tenth anniversary of the Civic tour and the launch of all-new ninth generation Civic. He added that blink-182 and My Chemical Romance were fun, exciting, hard-rocking and energetic, the traits that the Civic Tour had stood for over the previous ten years.
Mark Hoppus of blink-182 commented that it was great to be going back out in the Honda Civic Tour as they had had a blast kicking off the tour ten years before and that summer they would be taking it to the next level together with their friends My Chemical Romance.
Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance, also replied that they were looking forward to heading out on the road with blink-182 and they were excited to be part of the Honda Civic Tour which had featured great brands over the last decade.
