The Hyundai Sonata 20T debuts with Hyundai’s first four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline direct-injection engine.
The Sonata’s four cylinder has more power than all mid-sized V6 engines, with a remarkable 33 mpg highway fuel economy rating and the2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline direct-injection engine wich delivers 274 horespower and 269 lb-ft of torque.
The twin-scroll turbo system design minimizes turbocharger lag while maximizing combustion efficiency and power output. It also has a new Hybrid Blue Drive system, featuring lithium-polymer batteries.
The price for Sonata SE 2.0T turbo, starts at $24,145 and for the Sonata Limited 2.0T, $27,045.
Hyundai Motor American president and CEO, John Krafcik promised more horsepower and four-cylinder fuel economy, all for under $25,000.
With it’s 33mpg highway and 274 horsepower, the new 2011 Sonata offers segment-leading fuel efficiency and power.
The 2,0T SE added a fully automatic temoerature control system, while the Limited added 18-inch hyper silver alloy wheels, dual exhaust, and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

The new Sonata SE 2.0T comes with a 2.0L turbo GDI-4 cylinder engine, paddle shifters with 6-speed automatic steering wheel, 18-inch Hyper Silver alloy wheels, Steering and sport-tuned suspension, dark chrome front grille, chrome exterior door handles, SE leather bolster and cloth insert sport seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, front lights and duel exhaust, automatic temperature control, ESC/TCS/ABS/TPMS, front active head restrains, front seat side and curtain airbags, chrome window belt-line moldings, audio ohone controls, immobilizer, power windows, locks and heated mirrors, advanced trip computer with custom settings, and integrated bluetooth with phonebook transfer.
As for the Navigation and Sunroof package, the Sonata SE 2.0T comes with a slide sunroof and power tilt, navigation system with high-resolution touch-screen display, dimension premium speakers, and an external amplifier.

The Sonata limited, adds, replaces or deletes some of the SE 2.0T equipment such as the power tilt and slide sunroof, side mirror turn signal indicators, leather seating surfaces. Heated front seats , floor console premium door sill plates and „limited” badge, a 6-disc CD-changer, HD Radio technology with multicasting, dimension premium speakers, subwoofer, auto-dimming mirrir, HomeLink , compass, all while deleting the sport-tuned suspension and steering.
And now, turning our attencion on teh navigational package, the Sonata Limited comes with a navigation system with high-resolution touch-screen display, a rear backup camera, premium speakers, subwoofer, external amplifier and deletes the 6-disc CD-changer and the HD Radio Technology.

Hyundai Motor America has announced pricing for its all-new Sonata 2.0T Turbo, starting at $24,145 MSRP for the Sonata SE 2.0T and $27,045 for the Sonata Limited 2.0T.

With the addition of the all-new 2.0-liter Theta II turbocharged GDI engine, the new 2011 Sonata offers an unprecedented combination of segment-leading fuel efficiency and power, with 33 mpg highway and 274 horsepower. Remarkably, the Sonata 2.0T delivers these industry-leading benchmarks on regular fuel. Turbocharging and GDI are key elements of Blue Drive, the company's environmental initiative to lead the industry in fuel efficiency.

The 2.0-liter turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine produces 274 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 269 lb-ft of torque from 1750-4500 rpm with regular fuel, while delivering 22 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. Hyundai's 2.0T engine features a twin-scroll turbocharger that, when combined with the GDI system, results in crisp, responsive power delivery. Twin-scroll turbochargers have traditionally been used on more expensive high performance engines, but as with direct injection, Hyundai has chosen once again to apply this efficient technology in high volume to its most popular model.

The 2.0T engine will be available on the SE and Limited trim level, with the 2.0T SE adding an upgraded fully automatic temperature control system, and the Limited adding the SE's 18-inch hyper silver alloy wheels, dual exhaust, and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. MSRPs excludes destination charge of $720.
