The new 2011 Jeep(R) Compass features a stunning new sophisticated design and provides an unsurpassed off-road capability in the compact-SUV segment, improved ride and handling characteristics in all conditions, and impressive 4x4 fuel economy. Jeep Compass offers its consumers safety (more than 30 security and safety features), value, styling, efficiency, all combined with new interior appointments and refinements to the steering and suspension systems. Its completely new design comprises new hood, new fascia, new front fenders, new headlamps, new grille, resulting in a more serious and sophisticated face of the Compass. Furthermore, the rear of the Compass received new enhancements, such as a new rear fascia, new body-color rear spoiler, as well as new LED taillamps, while the interior upgrades include a new center armrest, a steering wheel with integrated controls that allow the driver to operate the radio, cruise control and new cloth interior. Drivers and passengers get conveninece and value from the 2011 Jeep Compass standard features, which integrate air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power/heated exterior mirrors, keyless entry, aluminum wheels, fog lamps, cruise control and sunscreen glass.
Compass hosts a standard 2.0-liter World Engine that delivers 158 hp, 191 Nm of torque, mated to a continuously variable transmission and delivers unsurpassed 23 mpg in the city, and 29 mpg on the highway when mated to the five-speed manual transmission.
The new 2011 Jeep Compass models (Compass, Latitude and Limited) will hit the showrooms in December 2010 after having been built at the Belvidere Assembly Plant in Belvidere.
