Jeep presents the all-new 2011 Grand Cherokee. The model is available with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that features Variable-Valve Timing capable of generating 280 horsepower and 260 lb. ft. of torque. This means an increase of 33% horsepower and 11% in torque over its predecessor. The fuel economy was also improved by 11%. The carmaker also offers a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine capable of developing 360 horsepower and 390 lb. ft. of torque. For international markets, left- and right-hand drive and a choice of diesel and petrol power trains will be available. In terms of interior, the models will receive real wood and leather, heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, four-way power lumbar controls, rain-sensitive wipers and a lot more. To transfer the output to the road, the model features 20-inch wheels available on Limited and Overland models. All-new independent front and rear suspension systems deliver premium on-road manners with isolated front and rear suspension cradles and variable-rate rear springs that combine to enhance on-road character and ride comfort. The engineers have offered more than 45 safety and security elements. We are talking about Standard Electronic Stability Control which includes Electronic Roll Mitigation, Hill-Start Assist, Trailer-Sway Control and available Hill-Descent Control. Standard seat-mounted side thorax airbags enhance protection of the driver and front passenger. The Blind-Sport detection system notifies the driver of the vehicle in blind sports with illumination icons on side-view mirrors and an audible chime. The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee delivers premium on-road performance while maintaining the legendary front-wheel-drive of the Jeep brand. It also offers improved fuel economy and a world-class interior cabin. The model offers the new Quadra-Lift air suspension system which features five height settings for optimum ride performance. The all-new 2011 Jeep is available with two leading engine options for North American markets.
