The 2011 Porsche Cayman S Black Edition adds more power and equipment to the Porsche Cayman S and it is going to be released on sale in September 2011, featuring a price of ?50,420 and a limited production of 500 examples worldwide. The eye-catching car model successfully combines style and performance, being powered by a 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine, which delivers 330 HP at 7,400 rpm, while the maximum torque remains the same, 370 Nm at 4,570 rpm. 5.1 seconds are necessary to achieve the acceleration from 0-62 mph when mated to the six-speed manual transmission and 0-62 mph is obtained in 5.0 seconds with the optional Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK). The maximum speed that the Cayman S Black Edition achieves is of 173 mph with the manual transmission and 172 mph with PDK. Despite the increase in horsepower, the fuel consumption of the Cayman S Black Edition remains identical to the one of the standard car as well as the CO2 emissions, which are 223g/km for the manual and 221g/km for the PDK. The lightweight Boxster Spyder wheel featuring a diameter of 19 inches, enhance the dynamic performance of the Cayman S Black Edition.
