Skoda MissionL concept

The 2011 Skoda MissionL is a world-premier design concept that will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September, 13, revealing the look of the Skoda's sixth model line. It is a five-door vehicle that will be launched in Europe, Russia and China, featuring specific modifications in each of these regions. One of the brand's main objectives is to increase its sales to 1.5 million vehicles by 2018. SKODA Board Chairman Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland, stated that the MissionL revealed the look of their new compact model, showing exactly the direction their brand was going to take and the world debut at Frankfurt gave a clear signal that SKODA was going full steam. Over the next two or three years, Skoda plans to present a new vehicle every six months, thus announcing that the brand is investing heavily in new models, markets as well as production capacities. Starting in late 2012, SKODA will also manufacture the automatic twin-clutch gearbox DQ200 in its plant in Vrchlab. The Yeti will be launched in China beginning with mid 2013 and it will also be produced locally. The production in Russia is also going to be expanded through the the Volkswagen Group's partnership with the Russian-based car manufacturer GAZ Group.
But the brand maintains its position on the traditional markets in Europe and the Czech Republic, which is its home market.
