Subaru XV

The 2011 Subaru XV beautifully combines the SUV image with a highly spacious and comfortable interior, providing at the same time superior drive performance and fuel efficiency. The new Subaru XV was unveiled by Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show and it was aimed to offer customers "Enjoyment and Peace of Mind" through Subaru's new "Confidence in Motion" brand statement. "Urban Adventure" was the fundamental product concept adopted for Subaru, announcing a vehicle perfectly suited to exciting and lively use in the city. However, Subaru engineers were focused on balancing efficient fuel consumption and driving pleasure with a stylish and special exterior design. Its cargo area is spacious and convenient, while the passenger compartment is extremely roomy. The hexagon grille and hawk eye headlights are design features that emphasize the unique appearance of Subaru vehicles. The innovatively designed aluminum wheels and cut-away cladding give the XV a sporty and attractive appearance. The stylish interior offers an enjoyable ride with its high-quality elements, such as the Multi-Function Display and instrument panel which was styled horizontally and thus, leaving a sensation of roominess. The new generation Subaru Boxer engine is installed in 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol models and the addition of the newly developed "Auto Start Stop System" further improved the fuel efficiency. This new system has a newly developed "change of mind control" function to enable smooth restart without sacrificing driving comfort. In terms of safety, blind angles were reduced through the use of the partition windows into the front doors and the placing of the the door mirrors on the door panels. SRS side airbags and SRS curtain airbags, SRS driver's knee airbag are installed as standard in all models, together with the VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control), which provides the XV with world leading danger avoidance performance and increases driving confidence.
