Tata Motors released a new city car concept for Europe, named Tata Pixel, incorporating "Zero Turn" drive, together with an innovative diamond-shaped door system. It was based on the Tata Nano and measures three meters of length, being considered the most package efficient four-seater in the world. Tata Pixel allows the driver to park and make manoeuvres in the tightest spaces due to the Infinitely Variable Transmission. Furthermore, all four passengers can enter the vehicle without any problems thanks to the "scissor" doors which rotate upwards from the front.
The youthful styling is emphasized by the sweeping roofline which integrates minimal front and rear overhangs, while the exterior appearance can be changed whenever the driver wishes, due to the interchangeable island incorporated into the window graphic.
"My Tata Connect" is introduced by the Tata Pixel and it enables the control of key functions of the car through the seamless integration of the user's smartphone or tablet with he vehicle's infotainment system.
Lively performance is provided by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, which is located at the rear of the Tata Pixel, while the European combined cycle returned reaches a fuel economy of 3.4l/100 km and 89g/km of CO2 emissions.
