With a price that starts from £22,980, the new Volkswagen Sharan is available in showrooms beginning with November, offering its customers the latest comfort and safety technologies and a refined style. It provides a range of efficient TSI petrol and TDI diesel engines, most of them wearing the BlueMotion Technology design, with battery regeneration system in order to reduce the emissions and enhance fuel economy.
Customers can choose between four trim levels, S, SE, SEL and Executive, which, excepting the Executive which has six seats, the other trims are available with seven seats. The EasyFold seating concept is a new concept that characterizes the Sharan, one that allows the passengers of the second and third rows to stow the seats in the vehicle floor by a mechanism.
The high-class performances of the car model are are provided by an equipment that includes ABS, HBA, ESP, airbags for all three rows of seats, side airbags for the first two rows, together with an additional airbag meant to protect the driver's knees. It also features an electronic climate control and an iPod interface.
All Sharans come as standard with twin sliding doors, which, by the driver's wishes can be controlled electronically.
For the first time, the Volkswagen Sharan is available with an Adaptive Chassis Control, which gives the driver the possibility to select from three damper settings: Comfort, Normal and Sport.
