German carmaker Audi developed the well-known supercar, the 2012 Audi R8. Before the new variant goes on sale at the beginning of next year, the very talented carmaker has developed a new special edition, the Exclusive Selection edition which will turn a lot of heads around, for sure. Only 50 units will be built and will be available in both V8 and V10 coupe forms; to be more precise, 20 V8s and 30 B10s. The Audi R8 Exclusive Selection edition equipped with the V8 engine may be covered with a new Daytona Gray matte exterior paint, complete with a carbon fiber splitter and carbon fiber rear diffuser. The models will also have exhaust finishers, new black elements on the grille, R8 GT tail lamps and red brake calipers.
All the output will be sent to the road through 19-inch wheels. On the inside, the carmaker offers a new leather seating package that includes crimson elements and contrast stitching, a thicker-contoured steering wheel and a new navigation surround. The Exclusive Selection edition models equipped with the V10 engine have a lot of the same elements. On the outside, the units are covered in Ibis White with Brilliant Black exterior paint, and send the power to the road through E-Tron 19-inch wheels. On the inside, the cockpit is made of carbon fiber with white and black contrasting stitching.
In terms of pricing, the 2012 Audi R8 Exclusive Selection has a starting threshold of $ 137.700 for the models equipped with the V8 engine and that use a 6-speed manual transmission. For the R-tronic, the price will be a little higher, $9.100 higher, to be more precise. The price for the Coupe variants that receive power from a V10 engine and that send it to the wheels through a manual transmission, the price starts at $161.500. In this situation, like in the one mentioned above, the R-tronic will be more expensive.
