Audi R8 V10 Plus

Germans from Audi have improved their R8 supercar, but also added a new model to the range. To be more precise, we are talking about the Audi R8 V10 Plus, a vehicle capable of generating 25 BHP more in comparison with the standard version. Under the hood it hides a 5.2-liter V10 capable of producing in the end 543 BHP. How was this possible, you might ask? Well, the specialists have used more carbon fiber. The new model is now 50 kg lighter than the factory vehicle.

To send the output to the wheels, the engineers have used an all-new 7-speed S Tronic automatic transmission that features Quattro all-wheel drive. The power produced enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds no matter the driving skills of the driver and to reach a top speed of 197 mph. You should also know that the new model also available with a manual transmission. This version is also GBP3.000 cheaper, but maybe the clutches will live less and you might have to replace them more often. To handle the extra power, Audi engineers have offered fade-resistant carbon ceramic brakes as standard.

The new Audi R8 V10 Plus comes with fixed-rate lowered and stiffened sports suspension for tighter body control. During the testing session, this new Audi R8 V10 Plus was not really a lot different from any other R8, it was just a little faster, and that is all. Yes, it is true, the model is a bit different from the standard R8 V10, but it is also GBP12.000 more expensive. Do you think this is a fare trade? Either way, you should know the new model is available for sale now, so, if interested, go for it; you will not regret it for sure. The final price of the model was established at GBP127.575.
